Privacy, plainly.

We try to use as little of your information as possible, and never share it. Here's the full story, in normal English.

This is the privacy policy for Seniors Tech Assistance ("we"). It explains what information we collect from you when you use our website or services, what we do with it, and what your rights are. We've tried to keep it in plain English. If anything's unclear, ring us and we'll explain.

What we collect

  • What you tell us. Your name, email, telephone, address (if you give it), and the contents of any messages you send us.
  • Basic technical information. When you visit this website, our server records your IP address, browser, and pages visited. We use this only to make sure the site works and to spot any abuse. We don't use third-party tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or analytics products that sell your data.
  • Remote-support sessions. When you grant us access to your computer (only with your permission, and only for the duration of the session), we can see what's on your screen and operate the mouse and keyboard. We do not record these sessions. We do not save any of your files.

What we use it for

Only to help you. We reply to your messages, schedule your calls, and (if you're a member) bill you for our service. We do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

Nobody — except where required by law, or where you ask us to (for example, telling your broadband provider on your behalf). We do not sell, swap, or rent your information to anyone, ever.

How long we keep it

As long as you're a member, plus seven years afterwards (HMRC asks us to retain billing records for that period). You can ask for early deletion of anything not required by law — just write or call.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have a number of rights over the information we hold on you. We've written them out in plain English on a separate page — see your data & GDPR. In short: you can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send it elsewhere. Email privacy@seniorstechassistance.com or telephone us. We will respond within one calendar month.

Cookies

This website uses one or two strictly-necessary cookies (to keep the site working). It does not use any advertising or tracking cookies. We are not Google. Full details on our cookie notice.

Complaining

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first — we'd love a chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we'll tell our members by email. The current version is always at this page; the date below is when it was last updated.
