A new device should feel like a gift, not a puzzle. We'll unbox it (figuratively), set it up properly, and hand it back to you ready to go.
It's a familiar story: you treat yourself to a new laptop or tablet, you bring it home full of hope, you turn it on — and twenty minutes later you're being asked for passwords, account numbers and "Microsoft accounts" you don't know you have. We can help.
What we set up
- The essentials. Email, internet, printing, video calls, and how to keep it all running well.
- The apps you actually want. WhatsApp for the grandchildren, BBC iPlayer, your bank's app, a good browser. Nothing you don't need.
- Sensible security. A password manager, anti-virus, screen lock — proper protection, set up so it doesn't get in your way.
- Backups. So that if anything goes wrong, your photos and documents are safe.
- Familiar settings. Larger fonts, simpler menus, accessibility features — adjusted to suit you.
How it works
Most setups take about 90 minutes. You unbox the device. We connect by safe remote support (you watch the whole time), or talk you through it on the telephone. By the end you'll have a working machine and a short, written note of what we changed.
We won't install anything you didn't ask for. We won't sign you up to subscriptions. We won't change settings without explaining why.
